After graduating from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, John Curless began his career in London and at various regional theaters in England, including Chichester Festival, Royal Exchange, Manchester and Crucible, Sheffield. Along with theater were many TV productions for the BBC and ITV, from Shakespeare to modern-day dramas and movies, some of which appeared in the States on PBS. Later, his career continued in New York with multiple productions Off-Broadway, and then on Broadway, including The Entertainer, The King and I, The Sound of Music, A Small Family Business, Journeys End, Jumpers and The Pitman Painters.
